Thomas E. Stevens was admitted to the State of Connecticut Superior Court bar in 1987 and admitted to the Federal Court bar in 1992. Tom is a life-long resident of Cheshire, Connecticut. He graduated from Cheshire High School in June, 1979; from Wilkes College, (now known as Wilkes University), Wilkes-Barre, PA in May, 1983 and from Western New England College, School of Law, in May, 1986.

Prior to joining Moore, O'Brien, Jacques & Yelenak in August, 2009 Tom spent six years as a lead litigator for a fortune 500 insurer. In that position he tried 12 cases to verdict. Eight of those verdicts were outright wins. All of the verdicts were for amounts less than the last, lowest settlement demands.
Prior to working as in-house counsel, Tom owned and operated his own practice. It was a general practice with an emphasis on litigation. Tom prosecuted personal injury actions on behalf of his injured clients and also defended personal injury cases for several insurers and a local bus company. Tom also represented clients in contested divorces, real estate transactions and defended them from criminal prosecutions.
Prior to operating his own practice Tom was a partner in the law firm of Gildea & Stevens, LLC. It was also a general practice with an emphasis on civil litigation. Tom had his first jury verdict within six months of passing the bar.
Tom has taken more than 75 jury verdicts and many more judgments after court trials, in his twenty-three years of practice. Most recently, in February, 2010 Tom had a jury verdict in Hartford Superior Court in the amount of $127,500.00 in a case where the insurer had offered to pay $5,000.00.
